Happy birthday to the ACE Programme

The ACE Programme, tailored to assist children with autism in integrating into long-day care, celebrates its 4th birthday by emphasising specialised strategies for effective communication, interaction, and play with peers, fostering self-directed learning and personal resilience.

Our dedicated educators prioritise creating a safe, confident, and inclusive learning environment where children with autism feel valued, fostering both short- and long-term benefits through empathic interactions and relationship building.

As the programme marks its fourth year, it continues to uphold its ethos of learning through understanding the unique experiences of each child, ensuring their holistic development and integration within the community.

THE ACE DIFFERENCE

In our partnership with the University of New England (UNE), we have direct research evidence that will support our programme. Three key differences that sets the ACE Programme apart from other early intervention programmes include:

1. Our educators receive regular training in gold-standard techniques for autism education as well as specialised skills in connecting with children;

2. Our practices are embedded in evidence-based guidelines obtained from the research field, and;

3. Delivery of a ‘living’ programme which is refined based on findings from continous monitoring conducted by autism experts from UNE. This means our programme is continuously evolving and not remaining static.
