Empowering autistic children through evidence-based interventions
At Ashton’s Place, therapy assistants play a vital role in delivering effective and cost-efficient support for children. They assist with administrative tasks, prepare resources, implement therapy experiences, monitor progress, and collaborate with therapists, ensuring a holistic approach to each child’s development.
Therapy assistants play a crucial role in the delivery and provision of effective, cost efficient supports to children.
They:
- assist with administrative tasks,
- prepare resources for therapy sessions, and
- implement therapist identified experiences that work towards goal mastery.
Therapy assistants monitor progress, document outcomes, and liaise closely with the treating therapist regarding any skill progression or challenges experienced.
Therapy assistants can provide supports to children individually, in pairs, or in a small group.
They are an essential component of our approach to supporting children in their development.
